We believe that people grow best in the context of relationships. This is the reason that we encourage everyone who calls Gateway home to join a Life Group.
Life Group is the place where you can pursue healthy relationships and spiritual growth, where you can experience accountability, belonging and care. Where you can connect and grow.
Life is Better Connected
GroupLink is how you join a Life Group at Gateway.
Grace seems too good to be true. There must be a catch. There must be something we have to add to grace to make the grade with God. There must be some fine print we are missing that means we miss out on a free gift. Grace seems too amazing. Throughout the centuries and across all cultures, people have been adding to the gospel of grace to make it fit with our human understanding of receiving what we deserve or earning what we work for.
Grace is the undeserved favour of God towards people.
This series will journey through the book of Galatians to clearly outline the simplicity of God’s amazing grace and to identify some common ways that we add to the gospel or grace today, robbing us of the relationship that God has intended for us.

Life Group Leaders
GroupLink is an event where everyone who is looking for a Life Group meets together over lunch.
At GroupLink we will help you make connections and form into groups. You just need to know where and when you would like to meet, and come ready to introduce yourself to some new people. There will be good food, friendly volunteers, and Life Group leaders ready to meet you and invite you into a group. You can even sign up to host or lead a group yourself.
The next GroupLink event will be in early 2019 after each of the morning services in the Function Room. We haven’t finalised the date, but if you register below we will keep you informed as the event gets closer.
If you don’t want to wait, look at the list of open groups on the link below to join an existing group now.
Life is Better Connected
We have a number of existing groups who are looking to invite new people to join them. You can find out about all of our Open Groups here.
Like any community organisation, volunteers are our lifeblood.
In Gateway, wherever you are and whatever you like, you can find a role. Serving is a great way to get connected and be part of the important things we do.
We’d love to help you – or the small group you’re already part of at Gateway – get involved.
The Holy Spirit has given each person one or more gifts to use for the good of others. Every gift is good. Every gift is important. Everyone must use their gift if the Church is going to be healthy and strong and fulfill its purpose in the world.
Click on the link below and do the spiritual gift test then bring your results to the Discover your Gift workshop on Hub Night to find out more about your gift, and how you might use it to serve others here at Gateway.
The Alpha course helps people explore the meaning of life, revealing that Christianity can be every bit as relevant to life today as it was 2000 years ago.
Alpha provides a safe place to ask the hard questions of life, to investigate whether God exists and to find out what happens after death. The course runs for 7 weeks, on Tuesday nights.
If you would like serve in or be a part of an Alpha group, and have a chance to explore and get answers to some of your own questions please fill out this form.
“What are you waiting for? Get up and get yourself baptized, scrubbed clean of those sins and personally acquainted with God.” Acts 22:16, Msg.
In the church baptism is the way we mark a significant event. It’s a celebration and a symbol that marks the day we become a new creation in Jesus. The Bible says we are baptised into Jesus. When we are lowered into the water, it’s like the burial of Jesus. When we are raised up out of the water it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a new life.
It’s the first thing God asks us to do once we believe and decide to spend our lives following Jesus.
Baptism isn’t an indication of being spiritually mature, or a ‘good’ Christian, it’s the first step in following Jesus. It’s an outward declaration of and inward commitment. At Gateway we want to see everyone who comes to faith in Jesus be baptised.
If you’re interested in taking this next step in your spiritual journey or have questions about what baptism could mean for your life, come to our next workshop on Baptism.
Simply fill out the form below and we will be in contact with you soon.
