We believe that people grow best in the context of relationships. This is the reason that we encourage everyone who calls Gateway home to join a Life Group.
Life Group is the place where you can pursue healthy relationships and spiritual growth, where you can experience accountability, belonging and care. Where you can connect and grow.
Life is Better Connected
GroupLink is how you join a Life Group at Gateway.
GroupLink is an event where people meet and connect with others who are looking to join a Life Group.
At GroupLink we will help you make connections and form into groups. You just need to know where and when you would like to meet, and come ready to introduce yourself to some new people. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, just remember, everybody at GroupLink is there doing the same thing.
The next GroupLink event will be on Sunday 15 July after each of the morning services in the Function Room.
Life is Better Connected
We have a number of existing groups who are looking to invite new people to join them. You can find out about all of our Open Groups here.
Like any community organisation, volunteers are our lifeblood.
In Gateway, wherever you are and whatever you like, you can find a role. Serving is a great way to get connected and be part of the important things we do.
We’d love to help you – or the small group you’re already part of at Gateway – get involved.
The Holy Spirit has given each person one or more gifts to use for the good of others. Every gift is good. Every gift is important. Everyone must use their gift if the Church is going to be healthy and strong and fulfill its purpose in the world.
Click on the link below and do the spiritual gift test then bring your results to the Discover your Gift workshop on Hub Night to find out more about your gift, and how you might use it to serve others here at Gateway.
Developing and maintaining a healthy sexuality is every man’s battle. Valiant Man is about male sexual discipleship.
This program with study and devotional guide is designed to fortify and restore the moral and spiritual integrity of men. Valiant Man challenges all men to fight for their own personal, moral and spiritual vitality and help other men fight for theirs.
For more information about Valiant Man, contact us.
We hold many courses to help people – and help them grow in their faith.
Mentoring is a way of growing – of creating spaces in our lives in which we very deliberately seek to grow in God and seek to support others as they grow in Him. God didn’t design us to make our life journey alone, especially when it comes to growing in Him!
Whether you’re looking for a mentor, or offering to be a mentor, please download and fill out this form and we’ll be in touch. We will suggest a mentor/mentoree for you, but the choice, after an initial meeting, will be yours.
There are many opportunities at Gateway to help out and serve others.
Our serving opportunities are outlined on Church Community Builder (CCB). Register or login at the bottom of this web page. When you get to the CCB home page, click on “More” at the top of the page and then select “Positions”.
You can look through the list of ministries looking for volunteers at the moment and find your place to serve.
The Alpha course helps people explore the meaning of life, revealing that Christianity can be every bit as relevant to life today as it was 2000 years ago.
Alpha provides a safe place to ask the hard questions of life, to investigate whether God exists and to find out what happens after death. The course runs for 7 weeks, on Tuesday nights.
Alpha dates for 2018
If you would like serve in or be a part of an Alpha group, and have a chance to explore and get answers to some of your own questions please fill out this form.

In this season, God has called and equipped Gateway to pray some bold prayers and take some bold steps of faith. We’re taking the life changing message of Jesus into our community, planting new campuses across our city to see more people find hope and healing, and we’re sending out our next wave of mission workers who are shining the light of Jesus around the world.
It’s an exciting season to be a part of and that’s why we’re committed to equipping God’s people to follow His call. Gateway Ministry School is here to provide a ministry training program comprising Accredited Courses and Ministry Streams.
Participants in the Gateway Ministry School can enrol with Malyon College, which is an affiliated college of the Australian College of Theology (https://www.actheology.edu.au; CRICOS 02650E), and is approved to deliver higher education courses. You can study full-time (one year) or part-time at a level of qualification and assessment that suits you. Find out more.
If you’re serving at Gateway and sensing God has a new season of ministry for you, our short-course Ministry Streams will equip and release you to engage more fully with your ministry passions. Find out more.
