Mentoring is a way of growing – of creating spaces in our lives in which we very deliberately seek to grow in God and seek to support others as they grow in Him. God didn’t design us to make our life journey alone, especially when it comes to growing in Him!
If you’re looking for a mentor, or offering to be a mentor, please fill out the relevant form below.
You can also download the form to print, then drop it at the info desk and we’ll be in touch.
We will suggest a mentor/mentoree for you, but the choice, after an initial meeting, will be yours.
As Men we live in a world that pulls us in every direction …it demands our time and priority, at times its seems we are being pulled apart in trying to be all things to all men. “You can’t do anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width and depth” and to that end our Men’s groups seek to grow you as a disciple of Jesus, not doing life alone but in an environment where “ Iron Sharpens Iron as one man sharpens another”.
Register for the Men’s Group Launch.
Will take you on a journey to identify the marks of true manhood. Its not how strong, muscular, self-confident, and competent you are that makes you a real man, but how well connected you are in the key relationships of your life … your heavenly Father, wife, children, our earthly Fathers, other Men, and the kingdom of God … all starting with re-connecting with your own heart
It is an empowered group of 3-5 men who meet on a consistent basis to encourage and hold accountable one another in fighting for our walk with God,for our heart and character, for our family, for our brothers, for those yet to find Christ.
How do we start a Fight Club?

Running the mornings of Wednesday and Friday (with crèche), KYB – Know Your Bible – is a place where women can study the Bible and meet other likeminded women. With nearly 70 members, KYB continues to grow.
Studies revolve around a chosen part of the Bible and groups come together to share and discuss their ideas. The method brings understanding of Scripture in several ways: at home, in-group discussion, a group leader’s summary and in notes given at each lesson.
KYB instills a daily devotional pattern, trains and equips discussion leaders, and class leaders become trained biblical teachers.
To find out more about KYB, phone the church office on 3291 5900.

Building stronger marriages across our Church and Community
At Gateway we offer the following opportunities for you to grow your relationship with each other.
Sign up to our Married Life mailing list for regular email updates and input into your marriage.
Too many couples don’t spend enough quality time together to build and strengthen their marriage. You know you should, you know you want to but you just don’t get around to it. That’s why we’ve created Date Nights. It’s a night when we encourage couples to attend our Mackenzie Campus for around 45 mins where you’ll receive quality input into your marriage by Andy Stanley and then go out on a date to a place of your choice.
Step 1. Get it into your diary and start to plan what you and your spouse could do together after our input time. BTW it’s Valentine’s Day week!
Step 2. Register so we know you’re participating/attending.
Step 3. Come to the Function Room at Mackenzie at 6pm on Friday 15th February. (This part is Free!)
Step 4. Go on your date at approx. 7pm. We’ve made the time, now you just have to choose where you will go. Enjoy!
Register for Married Life – Date Night.
Our Married Life Event is held annually and is a great opportunity for every couple whether you’re engaged or have been married for decades to invest into your marriage. We create a place where we speak practically into marriage – where poor marriages can move towards health and good marriages can grow even stronger. Married Life Event features live music, guest speakers and great food at your Gold Class style table.
Registrations will open closer to the date.
The Marriage Course is for any couple who wants to invest in their relationship, whether you have been together 1 or 61 years and whether you have a strong relationship or are struggling.
You will be served with a candlelit meal, coffee, tea and dessert at a romantic table for two while listening to practical talks that are informative and fun, played on DVD.
A seven session course set in a fantastic atmosphere on Wednesday nights. There is never any group work and you will never be asked to share anything about your relationship with anyone other than your partner.
Relationship, marriage & family counselling is available through our Counselling and Wholeness Centre.
We encourage every couple heading toward marriage to participate in pre-marriage education. The course we offer will help you reflect on key strength and growth areas in your relationship and set good foundations to begin your life together.
Pre-marriage education can be organised through the Gateway Counselling and Wholeness Centre.
We have a team of committed people ready to pray for your marriage. Email requests can remain anonymous. Please send to: timhood@gatewaybaptist.com.au.
Parenting is an incredible privilege but we know it’s also really hard work. No family circumstance is the same and no child is the same.
They’re the closest people to you and the most important people you’ll ever know. Whatever shape or size your family takes, you’ll find your place here.
The best and most consistent way to connect with other families is through our life groups. We have groups that cater for every type of family.
