With Malyon Theological College, you can study undergraduate certificates, diploma, bachelor, graduate diploma or masters.
With Malyon Theological College, you’ll learn on demand: there is no attendance requirement, however, you are welcome to attend classes on campus or via Zoom when you choose.

GMS experience
$1500 per year (this fee is for full-time and part-time students and payable to Gateway, FEE-HELP is not available). Optional local missions experience specifically designed for GMS is an additional $850–$1000.

GMS is open to people who attend Gateway Baptist Church and people who attend other churches (in consultation with your pastor).
Acceptance into GMS is by application and interview. Visit Malyon Theological College’s website for their admission requirements.

Now the GMS part of your application is complete, you will need to enrol directly with Malyon Theological College through their website. Remember to tick Gateway Ministry School on your application.
When your application is successful, Malyon Theological College will send through your letter of offer. Once you accept this letter of offer, Malyon Theological College will send you more information.

Gateway Ministry School is a ministry of Gateway Baptist Church in Brisbane. GMS is located at Gateway’s Mackenzie campus, 1052 Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Road, Mackenzie, Queensland.
No—you can apply to complete GMS without being part of the accredited pathway.
GMS students on the accredited pathway are required to be studying at least one subject per semester through our academic partner, Malyon Theological College.
GMS students studying the Certificates, Diploma, Bachelors and Graduate Diploma courses through Malyon Theological College will complete mostly the same subjects, however the level of assessment required for these subjects is determined by the level of qualification you choose. You may also need to consider the minimum academic entry requirement for each course.
GMS is open to both people attending Gateway Baptist Church and people attending other churches.
If you attend another church, GMS will consult with your pastor about your interest in participating in GMS. You will complete your academic study units enrolled as an ‘On Demand’ student of Malyon Theological College. You will also participate in the GMS Experience, all GMS students are required to attend 75% of GMS classes. You can complete your ministry placement at your church, or Gateway (with the permission of your pastor.)
Students enrolling in GMS accredited programs are enrolling with Malyon Theological College (MTC) as online students completing their academic pathway.
The GMS experience is facilitated and delivered in person throughout the year. Students need to be available to attend GMS for approximately one day during the week and are encouraged to attend Gateway or their own church for Sunday services.
Parts of the GMS program are available online for students who may not be able to engage in person. This can be arranged in consultation with the GMS Director.
Yes, students can study part-time through Malyon Theological College while attending GMS on Thursdays. Students can choose from subjects offered to full-time students in each semester.
GMS provides group and individual input from ministry leaders on Thursdays from 8:30am – 12:30pm and every second Tuesday of the month from 9:00am – 10:30am during the semester.
Students are required to attend 75% of all GMS programs. When students are completing their Practical Ministry Field Education unit they will need to be available at other times depending on the activities of their ministry area.
GMS semester dates align closely with Malyon Theological College semester dates.
Gateway Ministry School may make changes to its programs, and we will let students know about the changes that affect them.
