With Covid-19 wreaking havoc across the world, in Africa the true impact of this pandemic is yet to be revealed. One thing, sadly, is assured in the post Covid-19 world. Kenya’s poor will be poorer. With businesses closing down and the economy in freefall, many families have literally nothing to eat, and no way to make a living, Poverty will worsen as poor families are compelled to sell their productive assets, such as land and livestock, to keep food on their table. These impacts on the poorest of the poor will continue long after the rest of the world moves on.
