Thanksgiving Day is the highlight of our church calendar—we come together to celebrate all the amazing things God is doing here at Gateway, in our lives and in our community. On Thanksgiving Day, we stock the shelves in our care centres so we can keep helping many families in our community who are doing it tough.

This year is going to be a massive celebration on Sunday 10 October, a family fun day complete with food, activities, rides and fun for the whole family.

We would love for you to join us as we thank God for all he’s done and look forward to the year ahead as we bless our local community.

Get prepared for Thanksgiving Day

Book your seats

Invite your friends and family, and register them for the service. Due to current restrictions, you will need to register to secure a ticketed, allocated seat. Arranging tickets for everyone in your group before you arrive on Sunday will help everyone out! Book your seats here.

Fill your red bag

Go shopping to fill up your red bags with groceries and household items. You can access the shopping list of essential items here. What a great opportunity to engage your whole family in thinking of others!

On the day

Arrive early

Doors will open from 9:30, so come early to give yourself time to find a carpark, check-in and find your ticketed seat. Our team will be bringing some fun and games in the lead up to the service starting.

Bring your red bag

It’s an incredible sight to see everyone bringing their bags to the front at the end of the service.

Bring a mask, picnic rug, sunscreen + hat

As has been our recent practice, masks will still be required during the morning. There will be plenty of fun outside after the service—rides for the whole family kids, live music for everyone, and food and drinks for sale… and the weather forecast looks amazing, so come prepared!
