The Bible is full of stories of God delivering people and nations facing adversity, and it was these stories which spoke into the heart of almost-teen Sav Cameron after she arrived in Australia from a refugee camp on the Thai/Cambodia border.
Sav’s Buddhist family fled war-torn Cambodia in the 1970s and spent years in Thailand before they came to Australia. It was in suburban Brisbane that Sav first heard about Jesus from her primary school teacher and realised there were faiths other than Buddhism. Since hearing the story of God using one person – Esther – to deliver a whole nation, Sav has made it her mission to gather people together to make a difference in the world.
