In the midst of many unknowns, Mary chooses to write a song and magnify the Lord, but not for the first time. In a time when no one had a personal bible, Mary borrowed words from the Psalms that she had sung and memorised as a young girl. God chose Mary to a great thing because she was a bible memoriser. She was a humble worshipper. Mary was a magnifier of God Almighty and her song is still sung all over the world, every day of the year, declaring holy is His name.

My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. (Luke 1:46-48 ESV)
