As a church we support people and ministries locally and globally who fight poverty and injustice, care for the poor, develop ongoing solutions for complex issues, and share the love of Jesus.

Make it your mission to pray, go and give and be part of what Gateway Beyond is doing in our community, nation and world.

As we look back through our 90 year history, Gateway’s heartbeat has always been to share the love of Jesus with people in our community, nation and world.  From Rev Edwin Keith’s first bicycle ride along Logan Road that led to the establishment of Holland Park Baptist Church, we have embraced this pioneering spirit to go beyond ourselves and share the good news of Jesus with others.

Our heart is to be God’s church in more places so more people can hear the life changing message of Jesus, more families can be redeemed, more communities restored, and more nations transformed.  Because we believe that no one is beyond reach of the hope and healing of Jesus.

We are excited about this season of growth at Gateway. Together as a church, we are playing our part to grow the kingdom of God, believing that no one – no one – is beyond the reach of Jesus.

Community – Gateway Care

Practical help for people in our community delivered with Jesus’ love through our Gateway Care Centres. In the coming years we want to see our Gateway Care ministries caring for and walking alongside more people in the local community around every Gateway campus.

Nation – Gateway Campuses

Spaces for people in our nation to hear, and share in, the life changing message of Jesus. In the coming years we will start a new Gateway campus in the heart of Brisbane city, establish a permanent ministry space for Ormeau, invest in our Mackenzie and Redlands campus facilities, and grow capacity at Gateway Logan.

World – Gateway Global

Our people sharing the good news of Jesus around the world. We will continue to equip and empower our Gateway Beyond workers to shine light in dark places and share the love of Jesus. We remain committed to sending more people from across our Gateway campuses to bring hope and healing to a hurting world.

“I love seeing someone regularly and I feel more connected.”

Twelve years ago in her home country in the Middle East, Yasmin’s uncle introduced her to Jesus. Yasmin’s faith was one of the few things she brought with her when her family arrived on Christmas Island six years ago.
Australia has given Yasmin and her children a safe place to live, but with the remainder of her family still overseas, she has longed to feel part of a community. Yasmin joined Gateway’s COACH program and met with her mentor once a week.
“I love seeing someone regularly and I feel more connected,” Yasmin smiles bright when talking about her COACH mentor. “When I’m talking with my mentor I feel peace. Talking with her improves my English and she helps me with practical things like using
the internet to find out information.” The COACH program has given Yasmin confidence and opportunities to connect with others and her sense of belonging has grown. COACH is just one-way Gateway Beyond is welcoming people in our community into our growing family.
