If you're curious about Christianity, new to faith, or simply looking for a place to talk openly, Alpha is for you. It’s an opportunity to connect with others in a relaxed environment, ask honest questions, and discover more about faith.
What happens at Alpha?
Whether in person over a meal or virtually with a cup of tea, all sessions start with a time to connect, relax and build friendships.
The Alpha talks are designed to inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?
You'll have the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
Do I need to be a Christian to try Alpha?
No! Alpha is for anyone curious about faith, whether you’re new to church, exploring Christianity, or even if you’re not sure what you believe.
What does Alpha cost?
Nothing. It's completely free.
How long does Alpha go for?
Alpha is a series of sessions usually held weekly over 7 weeks. However, you are welcome to come along for one week and see if it’s a fit for you. No pressure. A typical Alpha session goes for around 60-90 minutes.
