But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’
Jonah 2:9

Journey with us through the book of Jonah.
The book of Jonah is more than a Sunday-school story about a man and a big fish. It’s a story about the astonishing compassion of God who pursues rebels, loves the outsider and invites ordinary people to join Him in His rescue mission for the world.
And it’s a story about us.
Across these weeks, we’re stepping into Jonah’s journey to let God speak to us the way He spoke to Jonah. We’ll see the Lord’s heart for those who are far from Him. We’ll be challenged by Jonah’s reluctance, pride, and self-protection. And we’ll encounter the transforming mercy of Jesus, the true and better prophet who ran toward the lost, not away from them.
As we open this ancient text together, our prayer is that we would hear the same question God asks Jonah: Will you share My heart for those who are hurting, searching, wandering, and waiting for hope?
Let’s allow God to reshape us, reawaken us, and send us again to our families, our workplaces, our campuses, our neighbourhoods, and our city with the hope that has found us in our own running.
May we emerge from this series more in love with Jesus, more surrendered to His call, and more burdened for those who don’t yet know His mercy. And may we live our answer to Jonah’s final question:
Yes, Lord, our hearts are Yours. Send us.
